Decorating your bedroom usually starts with picking a colour scheme, a piece of furniture or a bedding set that you like. I adore monochrome, but monochrome with a splash of yellow, I might just fall over in delight. If you are bold enough to incorporate colours in your décor, then you are bold in aesthetic and probably in life, and you go after what you want. If what you want is a bold bedroom—that's what you'll get because yellow looks completely divine against dark greys. Not that brave? you can pick a few details which are at least achievable like using  accents in your bedlinen and accessories. Match your colour, bedding, and art—and keep everything else neutral. Statement lighting will steal the show, as will your selection of graphic prints. As for the art—choose it first and design the room around it, not the other way around. These gorgeous bedrooms have one thing in common, the dark colours are actually quite striking in contrast with the splash and in some cases touch of vibrant yellow.
