All is Vanity
All is Vanity. Like a buoy in the water; and balloons in floating in the sky, surrender to nature and go with the flow.

Research means something very special to me: catching visual stimuli from the outside world and turning them into products, technology, images, mounting projects. It means looking around, carefully watching the surrounding world, perceiving changes in language, investigating fashion, design, the publishing world, travelling with curious eyes.

Years of trying and failing in Design School has taught me that inspiration can be activated, captured, and manipulated. I personally believe that perception and meaning cut through disciplines, so something learned decades ago by an architect or fashion designer could help me understand elements of my work as an Interior Designer . I eventually got a hang of it when I stopped focusing on interior design inspiration and opened my mind to endless possibilities of inspiration. From then on, I began to investigate different experiences and genres rather than simply leverage everything from a specific field, I went well out of my comfort zone. Doing this has had a major effect on many important outcomes and benchmarks in my creative life .

“The heights of human motivation spring from the beauty and goodness that precede us and awaken us to better possibilities.”

With time and consistency, you begin to conceive a form or unique aesthetic- a “ Design code" as it were, that will become a constant feature of every design you create. This Design code is something deeply rooted in the designer’s DNA (Transcendent Inspiration) , it is linked to how you intuitively apply the principles of aesthetics- whether it’s understatement, timeless elegance, continuity in the sign of tradition, artisan savoir-faire, attention to sartorial details. Whatever the case , the key is following your intuition.
